John LeClair – Co-Owner and Repair Extraordinaire
John is the heart and soul of our repair department, known for his meticulous attention to detail and dedication to every instrument that comes through our doors. His expertise has built one of the most trusted repair departments in Central PA, and his advice on gear is unmatched. This year, John welcomed a beautiful baby girl, adding even more joy to his life. If you’re ever in the shop and want to talk gear, fishing, or even guns, John is always ready for a good chat.
Chad Taylor – Co-Owner and Sales Guru
Chad’s decades of touring experience and industry knowledge bring a unique energy to our sales floor. As a founding member of one of the biggest bands of the ’90s, his insights into gear, studio recording, and production are unparalleled. Chad has been instrumental in creating memorable customer experiences, curating incredible gear, and expanding our presence in the music community. His current band, Chad Taylor & Friends, continues to perform, and he’s even working on a new album. Talk about a busy year!
Steve Miller – Repair Tech Extraordinaire
Steve is one of the kindest people you’ll ever meet and a cornerstone of our repair team. His attention to detail and customer-first approach ensure that every instrument leaves our shop ready to inspire. Always willing to go the extra mile, Steve’s hard work and good humor make him a joy to have on our team. Love 80s and 90s comedy movies? Bring your favorite line and have a laugh with Steve.
John Lippi – Our Newest Repair Tech
Joining us this year, John has already made a big impact by helping streamline our repair bench. With years of experience in guitar building, repair, and sales, John’s expertise is unparalleled. He’s also an incredible guitarist, playing with the Band of Llamas, a staple in the Lancaster music scene. Whether it’s repair work, gear advice, or just a good story, John brings an infectious enthusiasm to Tone Tailors.
Tone Stephens – Pro Audio Guru and Marketing Maven
Tone wears many hats, from consulting on pro audio systems for churches and studios to leading our marketing efforts. This year, he even served as Audio Director for Lauryn Hill’s European tour! Tone’s passion for people and innovation continues to push us forward. And if you’re into sneakers, you’ll definitely want to chat with him about his impressive Nike collection.
Looking Ahead
2024 has been a year of growth, challenges, and triumphs. We’ve said goodbye to some team members who have moved on and are incredibly grateful for their contributions to our success. JP, our co-owner, has been battling health issues but is looking forward to returning in 2025 with exciting plans to grow and develop our shop further.
As we step into the new year, we’re thrilled about the changes and opportunities ahead. From new gear to expanded services, we can’t wait to share everything we have in store with you. Your feedback, encouragement, and patronage inspire us to strive for excellence every single day.
