Taking Center Stage: The PRS Fiore HH

Every shop gets its fair share of great guitars. That’s part of the job. But every once in a while, something shows up that completely hijacks the room. Conversations stop, amps get turned on, and suddenly everyone on the floor “just needs five minutes” with it.

Right now, that guitar is the PRS Fiore HH.

Built in collaboration with Mark Lettieri, the Fiore platform has already proven itself as one of the most versatile modern bolt-on guitars out there. But this HH version takes everything players loved about the original and pushes it into a more powerful, humbucker-driven world.

As Lettieri himself puts it, “For players who love the specifications and versatility of the original Fiore but whose sound revolves more around humbuckers, this is the guitar for you.”

We couldn’t agree more.

Same DNA, Different Muscle

At its core, the Fiore HH keeps everything that made the original Fiore such a standout. You’re still getting that snappy 25.5” scale length, a responsive bolt-on maple neck, and a swamp ash body that brings a ton of natural resonance and clarity to the table.

That combination alone puts it in a really unique lane for PRS. It leans into that “F-style” feel with tighter string tension and a quicker attack, but still carries the refinement and build quality PRS is known for.

Where things shift is in the pickup configuration.

Swapping to dual Fiore-H humbuckers doesn’t just make this guitar louder or heavier. It completely expands what it’s capable of, especially for players who live in higher gain territory or just want more push on tap.

The Pickups: Power Without the Mud

Let’s be honest. A lot of humbucker guitars can get a little… congested. Especially when you start stacking gain or playing more complex chords.

That’s not happening here.

The Fiore-H pickups are designed to deliver real punch and authority for lead playing, but they keep a smooth, controlled top end that never gets harsh. Even better, they stay incredibly articulate. You can throw a dense chord at them under gain and still hear every note clearly.

That balance is what makes this guitar feel different.

Roll things back, clean up your tone, and they respond immediately. There’s no fighting the guitar to get clarity. It’s already there.

Eight Usable Voices, Not Just Gimmicks

Here’s where things get really interesting.

The Fiore HH keeps things simple on the surface with a 3-way blade switch, but the two push/pull tone controls open up a ton of additional tonal options. Each tone knob acts as a series/parallel selector for its respective pickup.

What that means in real terms:

When you combine that with the pickup selector, you end up with eight genuinely usable tones. Not filler options. Not “you’ll never use that live” settings. Real, practical sounds that you can actually rely on. For session players, cover band gigs, or anyone bouncing between styles, that kind of flexibility is huge.

Built to Feel Right, Not Just Look Good

Specs are great, but feel is everything.

The Fiore neck carve continues to be one of the most comfortable designs PRS has put out. It’s fast without being thin, solid without being bulky. Whether you’re playing lead lines up the neck or digging into chords down low, it just feels natural.

The 10” radius rosewood fretboard hits that sweet spot between modern and traditional, and the 22-fret layout keeps things familiar without feeling cramped.

Add in the bolt-on construction and you get that immediate, responsive feel that makes you want to keep playing longer than you planned.

Hardware That Keeps Up

PRS didn’t cut corners on the hardware either.

The 2-point steel tremolo gives you smooth, reliable action without sacrificing tuning stability. It’s the kind of trem that feels solid whether you’re doing subtle vibrato work or leaning into it a bit harder.

The vintage-style locking tuners are another win. They keep the look clean and classic, but with the added stability and ease of string changes that modern players expect.

It’s all designed to stay out of your way and let you focus on playing.

Why It Works in the Real World

Some guitars sound incredible on their own but get lost the second you throw them into a full band mix.

The Fiore HH does the opposite.

Thanks to the clarity of the pickups and the natural snap from the scale length and construction, this guitar sits exactly where it needs to. It cuts without being harsh, fills space without getting muddy, and adapts easily depending on how you dial it in.

Whether you’re running high gain leads, tight rhythm parts, or clean ambient textures, it holds its place.

That’s what makes it a true workhorse.

The One Everyone Keeps Grabbing

We’ve had a lot of guitars come through Tone Tailors, but not many get this kind of reaction from the entire team.

The Fiore HH is one of those rare pieces that checks every box. It’s versatile, it feels incredible, and it sounds just as good clean as it does pushed.

More importantly, it’s inspiring.

It makes you want to play differently. It makes you want to explore tones you might not normally chase. And that’s really what a great guitar is supposed to do.

Come Try It for Yourself

We’ve got a fresh shipment of PRS Fiore HH models in the shop right now, ready to go.

Stop by Tone Tailors, plug in, and take it for a spin.

Just don’t be surprised if you end up staying longer than you planned.
